Hello
I'm the mother of two children with speech delays. My daughter is five and has developmental apraxia of speech, but she's making great progress in a specialized preschool.
My son is two and has just started speech therapy. He currently has the communication skills of a 9-12 month old. He's resisted all my efforts to teach him sign language, and he still communicates with grunts and tantrums.
I've decided to keep this blog as a resource to other parents who may be facing similar issues as well as a place to reflect on what I've learned. When possible, I'd like to do a bit of audio or video as a true marker of progress.
